Niekas nesitikėjo, kad jaunos rusaitės Vlados Dzyubos (14 m.) vos prasidėjusi karjera baigsis tokia tragedija. Į Kiniją 3 mėnesiams išvažiavusi dirbti modeliu Vlada tikėjosi prasiveržti į mados pasaulį. Deja, aplinkybės susiklostė taip, kad mergina kontrakto pabaigos ir žadėtos sėkmės nesulaukė. Madų demonstravime V. Dzyuba susmuko, ją ištiko koma, vėliau manekenės gyvybė užgeso.

Kol kas policija oficialiai nepatvirtino, jog mergina mirė dėl persidirbimo. Visgi manoma, kad mirties priežastis – negydytas meningitas, pervargimas ir organizmo išsekimas.

Rašoma, kad pagal kontraktą mergina turėjo dirbti tik 3 valandas per savaitę, tačiau po įvykio jos mama žiniasklaidai pranešė, kad dukra skambinusi ir skundusis, jog yra pervargusi, siaubingai nori miego ir jaučia besikabinant ligą. Vis dėlto į medikus Vlada nesikreipė, bijojo, nes neturėjo sveikatos draudimo. Iki nelaimės mama aplankyti dukros nespėjo, pasirodo, jai nebuvo laiku išduota viza.

Amerikos mados dizainerių taryba ragina dizainerius neįdarbinti jaunesnių nei 16 m. modelių, o po vidurnakčio neleisti dirbti merginoms, kurioms dar nėra 18. Tačiau skirtingose šalyse įstatymai irgi yra skirtingi, dar nėra žinoma, kiek valandų per parą teko dirbti V. Dzyubai.
